The portrait group meets on the third Wednesday of the month, in Beatrice Taylor Hall from 2pm to 5pm.
It is a group of members who are interested in sketching or painting portraits. There is no tutor, just discussion and advice.
We will organise a portrait model for each meeting, a different one each time.
The dates for each meeting will be posted in the Events Calendar,.
To make sure that we cover the cost of a model, we ask that members pay for 3 meetings in advance and this payment is not extendable or refundable if for some reason you cannot make a meeting. The costs are calculated on enough members attending to meet the model cost, so we have to make sure that we have a full meeting’s payments for each meeting.
There is a SignUp for the group meetings. Select the 3 meetings you wish to join, and then go to the Payment Page to pay for those 3 months.
Easels and boards are available in the hall.
If you intend to use oil paints, please make sure you have ordourless solvent as we do not allow turpentine or other very volatile solvents
