Plein Air June

This month we are going to be at Bobbin Head, but a different spot .

This is Apple Tree Flat picnic ground, not Apple Tree Bay.

It is 1.2 km heading away from Turramurra past the Bobbin Inn spot we have used before, on the road to the Mount Colah entrance to the park. I suggest we meet at the lookout and parking spot, opposite the NPWS Greater Sydney Branch Office.

There is parking for about 6 cars, so please use SignUp to reserve a spot. If we get more than 6 interested we can arrange more parking.

You will need to pay an entrance fee of $12, or have an annual ticket, or have a free pensioners’ NPWS ticket.

There is bush, and views over Cowan Water leading to Appletree bay.

Parking close to the views, and no difficult walking involved.

There are no amenities at the spot, but coffee and toilets are available 1.2 km away at the Orchard Park parking area at the bottom of the hill.
