February demonstration Tetiana Koldunenko
This year all demonstrations are on Sunday afternoon, from 2pm to 4:30 pm
The demonstration is held in Beatrice Taylor Hall, behind Wallarobba at 25 Edgeworth David Avenue.
Demonstrations are for members and visitors, there is no charge, tea and coffee are provided and there is free parking available.
This month is a demonstration by Tetiana Koldunenko

I don’t use any printing techniques in my work. My process involves creating a textural base with texture paste on canvas — usually white on white — and then building up many layers of acrylic paint over this shallow sculptural surface to bring the image to life.
We are delighted to welcome Tetiana Koldunenko as our February guest artist. Tetiana says:-
“For the demonstration, I will be sharing my process of studying Australian native flora and interpreting it on canvas. I’ll demonstrate how I create a sculptural relief base using texture paste, working white-on-white, and then gradually develop the painting using primers and a combination of opaque and translucent acrylic layers to build depth and refine colour.
I will also discuss composition, changes in surface texture, and the visual effects created through layering and by placing contrasting colours next to each other.
The focus will be on observing and translating the distinctive tones of a native species, specifically Eucalyptus sideroxylon (Mugga Ironbark).”
