We’re getting closer to Hornsby Shire’s Annual Festival of the Arts. The 2017 Festival of the Arts will be bringing colour, art and entertainment to Hornsby Shire throughout October and November.

Now in its ninth year, the Festival of the Arts is a smorgasbord of visual and performing arts presented by Hornsby Shire Council and local partners with the support of St.George Bank.

The annul program which changes each year, in 2017 features live performances, creative workshops, talks, markets, circus, art trails, exhibitions and the annual Hornsby Art Prize.

You can find out details for all of the 2017 FOTA Events via the dedicated website – Festival of the Arts

We hope to see you at many of these exciting events.

October 2017 Demonstration

This month’s Guest Artist is Jan Cristaudo.Green Jade

Jan Cristaudo lives on the Pittwater Peninsula among Sydney’s beautiful northern beaches. This idyllic location, together with her frequent travels, provides an endless source of inspiration. The use of colour is her preferred method of expression and she has a distinctive style using oils on canvas to interpret the subjects that inspire her. Jan’s paintings are held by individual and corporate clients.
You can read more about Jan on her website
Our Monthly Artist’s Demonstrations are a great opportunity to see an artist in action: to hear their sources of inspiration and watch them create an artwork – showing their tips, tricks, unique techniques and preferred supplies.
